Mom: Haha.... the skirt.......
I wore it as a dress once!Ill try to attach a pic of that. But its a
bit long and big. It was really cold when I first got here and it snowed
and stuff but now its not that bad, my comp thinks she is gonna freeze
to death but for reals its not that bad. I just wear double fuzzy tights
like the ones mal was talking about and a wool liner under my coat and
I´m just fine. So long skirts don´t make a big difference, plus if it
rains long skirts get soaked (because the water comes up pretty high)
and normal skirts don't. But I will give it to a latin companion if I
find one tall enough to use it haha because it would go to the floor on
most of them haha
Wow the house is looking so different!!! Dad I'm glad you finally got your shutters!!
Wow cedar city is in like a week. So weird. I can´t believe its almost been a year.
Mom you would be glad to know that President called me
and wants me to help train the mission on family history work. I think
I´ll be talking to my zone about it tomorrow. He asked me to go find
names on the computer with my comp to practice family history work for
chileans. Its pretty interesting. I´m just so grateful for the census in
the US!
I still havent gotten my comp a camera, they were all out at the big walmart we went to today. Bummer.
My
camera almost broke, it fell off the table and landed on the lense, it
wouldn´t come out and I was super bummed thinking that I was gonna have
to find somewhere to get it fixed. But then I said a prayer in my head
(and apparently the other hnas did too but I didn´t know until later)
and I just felt like blowing on the lense and boom it came out....
crazy. But yeah it was a little miracle.
Well the funny but then sad part of this week
happened during my divisions this week. I went with hna burnett (an hna
that is going to return home soon but is sooooo awesome) and as we were
going to our next appointment we saw a lady dragging a dead cat across
the road. so we went to help and it wasn´t really dead. but it had been
hit by a car. So we ended up putting it in hna Burnetts scarf and taking
it to the vet. It was kinda crazy. In the end we ended up having to pay
a bit for taking it in there and to get it put down... the poor thing
was in a lot of pain and either had to get its legs cut off or get put
down... it was sad, but funny how we ended up sharing the gospel with
the girl and saving a stray cat, getting cat hair all over us, holding
it down while it got its iv put in etc. It was only to have to put it
down.... it was crazy. What an adventurous first division it was haha.
Well. there was a talk I loved that I thought I
would share with you all, its called "Swallowed up in the will of the
father" by Neal a Maxwell. Its about the law of consecration but I
really likesd what it said about sins of omission not commission. He
basically said that many of us get stuck in sins where we aren´t doing
anything bad, but we are leaving a lot of good undone. It was really
interesting and its sooooo true. The thing that holds so many of us back
is simply our lack of doing things, not that we do bad things we just
have so much more good that we have left to do.
Anyway I soooo have to go,
love you all!
