Two Short Letters

sorry I don´t have much time to write because I have loooots that I wrote to Katie and I have a lot to talk to president about this week!! (But don´t worry all is well!!)

So where is your cruise to again? And until when? Hope you guys are loving the heat!!.... Cuz I´m.... loving it less.  The snow sounds pretty nice about now.

New appliances?!? I want pics!! Shoot I leave for five months and my whole world changes. New fridge, new washer and dryer, alex starts shaving.... whats next?!? Are we getting a dog??

Spencer WAY TO GO!!!!!! 36 on the reading section!?!?!? Get that science up and you´ll be a freaking capo! (professional)

Also spencer I need you to send me your testimony in an email for next week so I can give it to one of the youth in the ward!

So for the little time that I have I just want to tell you guys that the best part of the mission is realizing Gods love for you. You see it through the never ending abundance of little miracles. Like Elder Holland coming, like the Christmas tree, Like praying to get chocolate chip cookies in the CCM and randomly having them that night, lately I´ve been seeing even more. For example, I stopped picking my split ends and popping my knuckles haha.  I remember to say the prayer on my food before I eat it. All of my little bad habits that I could never break are melting away.  My room is clean.... well mostly.  All of those are little miracles that are happening and helping me to see really how much a mission does for you even if its not this burning spiritual experience, testifying, calling people to repentance, and baptizing millions experience that you sometimes imagine.  Its subtle, but its nothing short of miraculous.  This is just a story that is kinda dumb but seriously spoke volumes to me.  I was sooooo excited to get reeses puffs for Christmas, probably the best present in the package.  And every day since then I ate a bowl of them.... I ran out yesterday.  The box was teeny like a fourth the size of my other cereal boxes and I ran out after 3 weeks.  My other boxes dont even last me a week and a half..... I finished the box and thought, what the heck how did this last so long??? Answer: MIRACLE.  Seriously so small and dumb because its just a cereal.  But thats just it, GOD IS IN THE DETAILS.  He knows its my favorite cereal in the whole world, and somehow although I ate it every day without fail, it made it 3 weeks.  Wow.. The mission is full of miracles.

Well, sorry I gotta go now but love you all!! Have a great week!

Love Hermana Millett

I never know what to call these emails.  I swear its always, worst week ever and best week ever! Because thats so how it is.  Its like the awesomest thing ever and then the biggest emotional battle of your life at times.  Haha I don´t know.
So wow, this week I got thinking and I was just like "HOLY COW; WHERE ARE ALL OF THESE BLESSINGS COMING FROM!!!!" Like I don´t know who has been praying for me but someone has done something for me the make so many blessings start coming.  This sunday was FULL with blessings, literally all the members were there filling our lunch schedule and wanting to have lessons with investigators with us.  Our whole planner for the week is practically full and filling by the minute, we found 4 new investigators this week (which for us is a TON) and wow the missionary work in my sector is doing really well and I am so grateful for all of the blessings I am seeing.  I´m so excited to work this week and I´m freaking out excited for all of the plans we have.

Last night we went and visited a few ward members and investigators.  There was a new investigator from bolivia that got here a day or two ago that needed a place to live and a job and just a bunch of stuff, she came here just scared out of her mind not sure what to do and seriously the people in my sector just got together found contacts to get her a job in the next week found her a place to live with hermana Isabel (Who had her baby!!) Just all this stuff, I have seen so much distress and suffering from these people but they serve with serisously EVERYTHING THEY HAVE, which isn´t much but it goes a long way!!! Its quite amazing to have this experience to get to know people and see all that they do to serve.  Sometimes its really exhausting to hear and see all the struggles and complications that these people have in there lives and to worry so much for them that you can´t sleep (seriously have not slept well this week) but I love these people so much and am grateful for the opportunity I have to serve them even if the stress and stuff is getting to me.

Well, I have to go now, tell Carli HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  And spencer too of course!! Hope you guys have a great bday!!!

With Love,
Kyrstin Millett
